
What a nice gig. Lots of great people, we had fun, they had fun, what more could you ask for?
Interesting to Harry, a fellow in the audience, Ray, came up and asked if his father had been a Lt Col in the Army. Now, Harry's Dad (also named Harry), passed away in 1983. So it was a strange request. The answer was yes, but it seemed that Ray had been a student of Harry the First during his second career as a Baltimore City public school teacher. Awesome!
Ray told stories of his teacher's chalk-throwing, and, in Ray's words, "...taking no sh*t." Yes, that was Harry's father, precisely. And is the way schools should be run, but we digress...
