Lots of folks looking for entertainment for their wedding, nightclub or special event think they can hire a DJ for a lot less money than a real band. That's just not true. DJs now price themselves from several hundred dollars to well into the thou$ands for entertainment at your event. We think that's not right, for a guy with no musical talent to take your money to just spin a few discs.

Live music just sounds better, and people have a better time when listening and dancing to live music, rather than just a bunch of the same old stale CDs.

For you gals planning your wedding, we like to think we're helping out new couples by not raking them over the coals by charging crazy prices for their wedding entertainment. Save some money, and put it toward a great honeymoon - or buy that great wedding gown (the one you really wanted) with the money you save on the band!

Whether considering us for a wedding or a corporate event, in comparison to other groups we wear the same tuxes, have the same great production equipment, have better musicianship, play better music, and can perform whatever emcee duties you require, all included in the price. Want some special songs played? No problem; if we don't already know them, we'll learn them, no charge. See? You don't have to mortgage the house or pay a lower stock dividend to have first-class entertainment.

About Us

Hailing from Baltimore, Stranger by the Day is comprised of musicians who have a life-long commitment to music. Those players would be: Charlie on Guitar and vocals, Harry on bass and vocals, Graham on keyboards and vocals, and our favorite drummer ever, TBA!

Our pedigree reaches far back into the pop music scene of Baltimore. Remember legendary bands like Vanessa, Staggerwing, The Heat, The Process, Carry On, Secrets, The Cha-Cha Boys, Pen Lucy, Trilogy? At least one of us was in those bands, and more. We learned a lot about pleasing audiences in those groups. It shows, too. No other band in the area sounds like this one. Great music deserves great vocals and musicianship, and that's what Stranger by the Day delivers.

Don't take our word for it - have a look around the site and listen to some of the music and watch the videos of us here. We have live video of us, which (we've been told) sounds awesome! We show live clips so you can be assured that we can actually do what we say we can do.

Did we mention that we're established music teachers, too?

We play just about everything: rock, pop, jazz, funk, soul, classic rock, country, but we bet we haven't played every song written (although it sure feels that way sometimes). So, if you want us to play something, just ask. We're not afraid to torture any song.
